Get more for less on your Smart Account

  1. Cash Withdrawals: If you withdraw at till point you pay R 0.90 (on the Pay-As-You-Use pricing option only),
  2. Balance Enquiries: Free at an FNB ATM, Cellphone Banking and Online Banking,
  3. Cash Deposits: Cheaper when you use an FNB ATM at only 0.65% of the cash amount (minimum fee of R 5.00),
  4. Cheque Deposits: Free at an FNB ATM,
  5. Internal Debit Orders: R 3.30 to pay your FNB Home Loan, Credit Card, Funeral policy etc,
  6. Unpaid Debit Orders: R 5.00,
  7. Transfers or Third Party Payments: Only R 1.00 when you use Cellphone Banking,
  8. inContact: FNB's Free messaging service that sends you an SMS or e-mail when a transaction above R 100 goes through your account.

How can I save on bank fees?

  1. Draw Cash at till point when paying for goods in store (e.g. Checkers, Shoprite, Pick n Pay and PEP),
  2. Your ATM card is your Debit Card. It is safer and cheaper to use your card to pay at a store than to carry cash,
  3. Deposit money at an FNB ATM instead of a branch. It is safer, cheaper and quicker,
  4. Avoid doing transactions inside a branch . Rather use FNB ATM's, Cellphone and Online Banking,
  5. Keep enough money in your account for your monthly debit orders to go through, otherwise you will pay penalty fees,
  6. Choose the right pricing option for your needs. Let FNB staff or our call centre assist you.
